How BlurFaces works
BlurFaces is being built as an on-device photo editor. The current preview opens a photo and detects faces in your browser without uploading it. You can hide faces with pixelation, blur, blocks or emoji, toggle visibility, and draw, move, resize or delete boxes. Zoom in to check small faces. Download an edited copy or share it using your device’s share sheet. Original photo metadata is not copied.
The planned workflow
- Choose a photo. The browser decodes it locally.
- Review detected face boxes and add or adjust any the model missed.
- Choose pixelation, blur, block, or emoji, then export a copy without the original metadata.
Always check every face before sharing. Detection can miss small or partly hidden faces.
