Verify it yourself

Your photo, filename and face boxes stay in this editor. You can inspect the app’s requests and try editing without a connection.

Check network requests

  1. Open your browser’s developer tools, select Network and clear the request list.
  2. Choose a photo and wait for face detection to finish. The first run downloads the face model and runtime from this site.
  3. Change effects, move a box and download the result. Check request methods, addresses and request bodies. There should be no photo upload, filename or face coordinates in a request.
  4. Use a distinctive test filename to make it easy to search the request list. Do not upload a private photo to a network inspection service.

Try without a connection

  1. Keep the page open after a successful face detection. This loads the editor, model and runtime.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi/mobile data, or use the Network panel’s Offline setting.
  3. Change an effect, draw a missed face box and download an edited image. You can also choose another supported local photo while the loaded page remains open.

Once the model has loaded, you can also choose another local photo in the same open tab for offline detection and editing. Fresh offline navigation or a reload is not guaranteed. Installable offline access is planned. Native sharing to an online destination depends on that destination and your connection.

Requests you may see

This build requests its own HTML, fonts, scripts, model and runtime. It has no active advertising or remote error-reporting script. Ad spaces are placeholders. If you allow analytics, you also see https://cloud.umami.is/script.js and https://gateway.umami.is/api/send. Decline analytics to check a local-only editor flow.

Google AdSense/consent is planned and inactive. Umami choices and allowed events are described in our privacy and cookie pages. They must not receive photo bytes, thumbnails, filenames or face coordinates. Hosting requests still carry ordinary connection information such as IP address and browser headers.

Share hands only the newly edited file to the destination you choose. That destination may upload it according to its own settings; it is outside this editor’s local-processing boundary.
