Terms of use

Updated October 2, 2026

BlurFaces is a browser tool for editing photos you are entitled to use. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Your content and responsibility

You keep your rights to your photos. Local processing does not transfer ownership or grant us permission to publish them. Respect other people’s rights and applicable law when editing or sharing images.

Review before sharing

Automatic detection can miss faces and skips boxes smaller than 100 × 100 pixels in the source image. You can add smaller boxes manually. Inspect the whole image, including small and partly hidden faces. Check exported results before sharing.

No hiding effect guarantees anonymity. Emoji has a transparent background and may leave parts of a face visible. Other identifying details may remain elsewhere in a photo. Removing original metadata does not remove information visible in the pixels.

Availability and limits

Browser support, device memory and photo format affect the tool. Unsupported files or large images may fail. Keep your original photo: exports are separate files. The tool is provided as available, without a guarantee that every face will be detected or that it will meet a particular privacy requirement.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss resulting from missed faces, sharing decisions or service interruption. These terms do not exclude rights or liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Other services

Native sharing hands the edited file to the app you choose; that service has its own terms. Optional analytics requires permission; advertising is planned and inactive. Analytics choices and service boundaries are described in our privacy notice.

Contact and updates

Questions can be sent to @blurfacesapp on X. We may update these terms as the product changes and will update the date above.
